Knickerbocker Mfg. Co. is pleased to introduce the latest addition to our garment lineup, Knickerbocker Athletic Wear. The goal of this editorial was to showcase the series of products that are included under the collection, drawing emphasis to simplicity and versatility.
What makes these garments special is their authentic tube knit production process. Commonly seen in athletic wear and military wear from the 40's and 50's, tube knit shirts were designed to hold their shape and made to last. Following our predecessors, we designed these garments with the intent of taking classic staple pieces and adding Knickerbocker quality & authenticity.
Tube Tee - For simply an undergarment to a statement of style on the silver screen. There is nothing quite as iconic and packed with style as a clean tee. These tee's are constructed with 20 singles 5oz. tubular knit 100% cotton body and spun in Los Angeles, C.A. We used a double needle cover-stitch on the collar to prevent stretch and blindstitch hems to give them that clean finish. The shirts come pre-shrunk and have a 50's slim straight cut, so we recommend sizing up if you want a looser fit.
Pocket Tube Tee - With the same construction and details as our basic Tube Tee, these shirts come with a left chest pocket providing it with that classic sportswear feel.
S/S Henley Tube Tee - Made with 20 singles 5oz. tubular knit 100% cotton body spun in Los Angeles, C.A. These shirts have a sleeve rib that is sewn on with a flatlock stitch and detailed with 'Mother of Pearl' buttons. From the knitting of the cotton to the details of the trim, these are a sure winner.
L/S Henley Tube Tee - Made prominent through workwear and sportswear, the henley is now a staple in nearly everyone's wardrobe. With the same construction and key details as the S/S Henley Tube Tee, these guys have become a Knickerbocker favorite.
Crew Neck Fleece - Manufactured in Los Angeles, C.A. with 90% 9oz. cotton & 10% poly fleece fabric. The crew neck is pre-shrunk and has a straight fit. The collar has a double needle cover-stitch to prevent stretching and the seams are secured with a flatlock stitch.
